About
Accidental Mosaic Artist
My father is a professional artist, writer & speaker who accidentally helped me find my passion. He wanted a large mosaic for our home and asked me to help, I immediately pushed him out of the way and the rest is history! I found a new love in breaking tiles and reassembling them as an interesting mosaic.

I lose myself and all track of time when I mosaic. I’ve been brought up around creativity my entire life, so it was not surprising that I became an artist. My greatest pleasures are time with my family and creating mosaics – it’s then that I’m happy and in harmony with my world.
At the moment, my favourite subjects are animals & birds. I simply love all creatures great & small. I adore doing these – I start with their eyes and face, then it feels like the animal guides me to complete it’s body. When it’s finished, it seems to have a life of its own.
I think I would prefer to stand in a room full of animals than a room full of people! I am passionate about creating mosaics and am not the most social person… the older I get, the more private I become. I adore my creative world, it consists of a pair of tile cutters, boxes of tiles and crockery and plenty of band-aids!
